Push your limits…
…see what’s possible.
Many active-duty military members and veterans carry invisible wounds from trauma, grief, and the lasting weight of service. These challenges affect not just them – but also their families and relationships. It’s easy to feel alone, disconnected, and unsure how to move forward.
Mission:Hike exists to change that. Through physically demanding hiking and backpacking expeditions (like our multi-day journey into and out of the Grand Canyon), we create space for deep internal work. These are more than hikes. They are intensive experiences designed to promote mental resilience, post-traumatic growth, and spiritual restoration.

Multi-day backpacking trips into the Blue Ridge Mountains.

National Park trips including the veteran and their spouse or support person to dig into ways to grow, conquer life’s changes, and thrive.

Connecting local veterans and active-duty military to meet on a regular basis to ruck hike state parks and other trail systems.

There is wisdom in learning “suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope.”
We’re here to be a community that encourages mental, physical, and spiritual growth through outdoor experiences, transforming them into practical life strategies.
